SVCi Series

Features

interVOLT SVCi Series voltage converters were developed to meet the increasing demand for a 24VDC - 12VDC marine grade voltage converter with galvanic isolation. Galvanic isolation ensures total DC - DC electrical isolation, that is, no common connection between the input and output whatsoever. The SVCi Series voltage converters were developed in conjunction with the new SPCi power conditioners and incorporate the same key features. The benefits of using an isolated converter include elimination of line interference, increased electrical safety, improved circuit protection and a reduction in voltage transients. Built on the solid foundation of our existing interVOLT range, the new galvanically isolated SVCi Series were developed with the same stringent criteria including, above ground insulation, better termination, higher performance, stronger construction and above all user-friendly operation and installation. All design parameters have been achieved, resulting in the development of a truly unique product, not only for the marine industry but any application requiring a high specification.

MULTI-PURPOSE
interVOLT SVCi Series voltage converters incorporate an exclusive, output voltage selector switch for greater versatility. This feature allows the installer to select a standard ‘HI’ setting for normal operation or ‘LO’ setting for sensitive equipment. The slide type switch is located on the terminal end of the unit and is user adjustable. Another key benefit of this unit is that it can also be used as a constant voltage, float type, battery charger.

INNOVATIVE
interVOLT SVCi Series voltage converters feature a unique, microprocessor controlled diagnostic fault finding indicator (LED). This multi-function indicator assists in trouble shooting an array of common faults caused by installation or application problems. A window on the front of the unit reveals a tri-colour LED which changes colour depending on the status of the unit. The diagnostic indicator will assist the user in resolving most installation problems quickly and efficiently.

PERFORMANCE
interVOLT SVCi Series voltage converters are designed to perform under the harshest of conditions. The units have been designed to cope with heavy loads in high ambient temperatures. Additionally, the ability to deliver intermittent loads is of a real benefit. Considerable importance has been placed on voltage regulation and special control devices ensure that the output is constant regardless of the load. Efficiency is very high across the load range and as a result heat generation from the casing is kept to a minimum.

ENGINEERED
interVOLT SVCi Series voltage converters feature heavy-duty construction in high grade materials. They are designed to withstand the harsh marine environment through the extensive use of non-corrosive materials. The casing is extruded from marine grade aluminium, the end caps moulded from special plastics and the circuit boards are treated with a protective coating. All fasteners are stainless steel and the terminals are tinned brass. The use of quality materials ensures the reliability and longevity of our units.

SAFETY
interVOLT SVCi Series voltage converters are fully protected by a range of in-built safety devices. These protect the unit from specific conditions including input reverse connection, under voltage and transients and output overload, short circuit and over voltage. Thermal sensing protects the units from high temperatures and circuit design prevents damage from occurring if the negative is disconnected. For safety reasons a range of shutdown devices are designed to automatically reset once the fault condition has been rectified.

GUARANTEE
interVOLT SVCi Series voltage converters are manufactured using only quality components and materials. The manufacturing process is carried out in Australia and complies with all relevant safety and occupational standards. All product functions are 100% tested prior to packaging and despatch. interVolt voltage converters are warranted against faulty components and /or workmanship for a period of two years from date of purchase by the consumer (conditions apply).

CONFORMITY
interVOLT SVCi Series voltage converters comply with the current Australian and European standards for Electro-Magnetic Compatibility (EMC). As a result all products display the Australian ‘C’ Tick Mark and the European ‘CE’ conformity marks.

AUSTRALIAN
interVOLT SVCi Series voltage converters are proudly designed, engineered and manufactured in Australia using Australian materials and components where feasible.
